We started designing and building things we needed that Nobody else had thought of them, something to help us figure out which hogs were ready for market. Some things came close. But even equipment that was almost right had flaws — components corroded, construction wasn't sturdy enough. Others products were sturdy, but not sophisticated enough. So we started from scratch, and came up with the Pigs' Way sorter. Now it's used all over North America.
